Boycotting Aspen Dental was in full swing this week as the Aspen ski industry came under fire for approving employees to have painless dental jobs in foreign countries rather than working in the U.S. The company, which is responsible for creating many of the greatest dental care plans in the country is also responsible for producing some of the least expensive dental care systems in the world. Boycotting Aspen Dental can only be done if they are willing to cut their expenses and increase value. So far, the company has refused to change their business model and no matter what the rest of the world thinks their dental insurance plans are still superior.
Aspen Dental has now called for a boycott in ALL Aspen Dental places in the following countries: Texas, Oregon, Louisiana, Connecticut, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, and Georgia. According to their website, all dental new patient forms will no longer include the word “American” in their names. Wow! Folks it just gets my goat that they would do this in these hard economic times. I’m sure they think they are hurting their bottom line by not adding this feature to all new patient forms.
This Aspen Dental lawsuit is only one of the many lawsuits being filed over the abuse of illegal aliens working as dentists in this country. According to the ADA (American Dental Association), there is proof that many illegal immigrants are being forced to accept lower pay and less desirable clinics because of the huge amount of labor force that is required to fill their jobs. A group of students in another school district filed a lawsuit against their school for firing an illegal alien dentist who had trained many American students. Recently, there was an internal investigation in a major hospital for forcing American dental patients to accept less desirable treatments in exchange for higher payments.
These types of lawsuits must be taken very seriously, as if a new patient is forced to accept a substandard treatment or payment because the dentist has decided that he wants to make more money. These illegal aliens cannot speak for themselves, but if the dentists do not have paperwork to prove their good faith, there is a lawsuit ready to litigate their behalf. It is very unfortunate that the dentists’ salaries are affected by the amount of work force that is available in their area. Dentists have been threatened with having their practices closed if they refuse to perform these cosmetic procedures or treatments.
The reason that there are so much pain and suffering caused by this dental lawsuit is that the people are being forced to choose between having a healthy and functional tooth, and keeping their tooth or paying thousands of dollars for repeated tooth replacements. Obviously, there are more important things in life than having a brilliant smile, but it is important. Our current government does not want to see any restrictions on cosmetic dentistry. The insurance companies want there to be as little interruption in the flow of business as possible, which explains the low prices associated with such procedures. Our economy will never recover until all people are able to afford such services.
Another reason that Aspen Dental Lawsuit occurs is that dentists are often forced to spend days and nights away from work because of the turmoil caused by the lawsuits. This disrupts the work day for the dentists and their staff. In order for you to receive full compensation and justice, you need to take your case to the court as soon as possible. The longer that the dentists wait to mount a valid lawsuit, the more money they will lose.
