Maurkice Pouncey

On Friday, Maurkice Pouncey, a Pittsburgh Steelers center, checked into a college in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, after being named in a Miami assault lawsuit. Three women allege Pouncey assaulted them in a nightclub, but no criminal charges have been filed against him. Pouncey’s attorney Jeff Ostrow called the accusation “an opportunistic stunt.” Police in Miami Beach has not charged the alleged assault victims.

Police in Miami Beach will not confirm whether charges are pending against either Pouncey or their brother. However, multiple sources familiar with the situation say they will be filed soon. A court date could be set as soon as Friday, so stay tuned. For now, the alleged victims are waiting to give their statements. If the police do press charges against either Pouncey or Ostrow, they will likely be dismissed.
